Tenant Admins
White Label and Branding
Set your marketplace name, colours, fonts, logos, menus and storefront pages, preview them as a draft, then publish or roll back.
Settings → White Label and Branding controls how your marketplace looks and reads to buyers and sellers: your public name and tagline, colours, typefaces, logos, the storefront menus, legal pages, FAQs, the About and Contact pages, and the look of the live-stream overlay. Everything you change here is saved to a draft first. Nothing changes on your live storefront, transactional emails, invoices or live-stream overlay until you publish, and every published version is kept so you can roll back.
Before you start
- You need the manage tenant settings permission. The standard Admin role has it. If White Label and Branding is missing from the Settings menu, ask an administrator on your account to check your role (see Team members and roles).
- The page is available on every plan.
- Have your artwork ready. Images can be JPG, PNG, WebP or SVG, up to 5MB each. The favicon also accepts
.ico.
How drafts, publishing and roll back work
The banner at the top of the page tells you where you stand, whichever tab you are on:
- Live now shows the version customers see, for example "Version 3, published ...". Before your first publish it reads "Nothing published yet", and customers see the platform default branding.
- You are editing the draft shows how your draft compares with what is live: "Draft matches what is live", a count of unpublished changes, or "Draft has never been published".
- What differs from live expands to list each unpublished change.
The buttons at the foot of the page do the work:
- Save Draft stores your edits in the draft. Customers see nothing different.
- Save & Preview Draft saves the draft and opens a preview of it in a new tab, rendered as a real storefront page. Nothing is published. The preview link lasts about an hour; Re-open the draft preview appears in the banner so you can get back to it without generating a new one.
- Publish makes the draft the live version. See below.
- Roll Back re-publishes an older version. See below.
The first tab, How publishing works, repeats this and holds the controls for publishing and roll back: Draft status, What is live now, Re-publish a previous version, Notes (optional) and Messages from the last check.
Uploading images saves them to the draft immediately
When you upload an image on any tab, it is stored straight away and added to your draft. You will see an "Image saved to your draft" notification. It still does not reach customers until you publish.
Publishing
- Make your changes on any tabs.
- Optionally, add a note under Notes (optional) on the How publishing works tab. Notes appear in your audit history for this publish.
- Click Publish.
- The confirmation explains that publishing saves every unsaved edit on the page, including tabs you have not opened, and then makes the draft live. It lists the specific unsaved edits it is about to commit, or confirms there are none.
- Click Save all tabs and publish.
Your storefront, transactional emails, invoices and live-stream overlay change for everyone straight away. The version that was live is kept in history.
What must be filled in before you can publish
Publishing is refused unless these fields have a value:
- Public name on Name & tagline.
- Page background, Main text and Accents and buttons on Look & feel.
- Body text under Typefaces on Look & feel. Your account starts with a default here; if you clear it, publishing will fail.
- Where the logo goes when clicked on Storefront menu.
If anything fails, a banner reading "This branding was not published." appears with the reasons, the same messages show in Messages from the last check, and each problem is shown under the field where possible. Fix them and publish again.
Rolling back
- On How publishing works, choose a version from Re-publish a previous version. The list shows every version you have published, newest first.
- Optionally, add a note in Notes (optional).
- Click Roll Back at the foot of the page and confirm with Roll back now.
The version you picked goes live immediately for every customer. Your draft and any unsaved edits are left alone, so roll back never discards work in progress. If you want your next publish to start from the rolled-back look, bear in mind that the draft still holds whatever you were last working on.
Name & tagline
- Public name (required) is the name shown with your brand on the site and in many templates. Usually your business or auction name.
- Tagline (optional) is a short phrase shown under your name, for example on the home page or in search results. Up to 500 characters.
Look & feel
Colors and rounded corners
Start with a single accent colour, then adjust the others if you need to.
- Page background (required): the colour behind listings and the home page.
- Main text (required): headings and body text.
- Accents and buttons (required): links, primary buttons and highlights.
- Secondary text: labels, help text and less prominent copy.
- Extra surface tone (optional): a secondary background used by a few components. Leave it as it is if you are unsure.
- Button roundness (CSS length): for example
6px, or9999pxfor pill-shaped buttons. - Card roundness (CSS length): the corners of listing and content cards, for example
8px.
Check that text stays readable against your background and accent colours before you publish.
Typefaces
Enter font names or standard font stacks, for example Inter or system-ui. A Google Font name only works if that font is already loaded on your storefront.
- Body text (required): paragraphs and most interface text.
- Headings: page titles and section headers.
- Small and mono-style text (optional): hints, footnotes and data-style text.
Logos & images
Each image slot has a preview, an upload field, an address field and a short description field. You can either upload a file (the address fills in automatically) or paste the https:// address of an image you host yourself. The short description is used by screen readers and shown if the image fails to load; if you leave it blank on upload, your public name is used.
Main brand images
- Main logo: your primary storefront logo.
- Admin console logo: shown in the admin console header and sign-in screens where available.
- Compact mark: a small icon or word mark for tight spaces, such as the mobile header.
- Favicon: the icon in the browser tab. Accepts
.ico, PNG, WebP or SVG.
Email, documents, and live video overlay
These are optional. If you skip them, your main logo is usually reused automatically.
- Invoices and PDFs (document logo): often a wider lockup that suits print.
- Email header: a banner-style image for automated emails.
- Consignor enquiries reply-to address (the field below the email header): optional. When set, automated "we received your enquiry" emails use this address as the reply-to. Leave it blank to use the platform default sender.
- Live commerce overlay: an image for the live-stream overlay, for use in OBS and similar tools.
Storefront menu
- Where the logo goes when clicked (required): usually
/for your storefront home. - Top navigation: links shown left to right in the desktop header. Click Add a link and fill in Link text and Destination.
- Footer links: typically terms, privacy, help and contact. Click Add a footer link.
A destination can be a path on your site starting with / (for example /about), a full https:// address, or a mailto: or tel: link. Plain http:// links and other schemes are rejected when you save or publish. Links cannot be reordered once added, so add them in the order you want them to appear.
Storefront pages
This tab has three sub-tabs. Long-form fields use a rich text editor with bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, links, two heading levels, quotes, code blocks, bulleted and numbered lists, tables and image attachments (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP or SVG). Scripts, embeds and other unsafe HTML are refused.
Legal pages
For each of terms, privacy and cookies you can set a title (Terms title, Privacy title, Cookies title), a "last updated" date (Terms updatedAt and so on, shown on the page as "Last updated: ..."), and the body text (Terms, Privacy policy, Cookie policy).
The Terms template, Privacy template and Cookies template menus offer Custom (no template) and a UK standard template (version 1). Choosing the UK template replaces the text in that editor with formatted starter copy, so copy out anything you want to keep first. Templates are a starting point; have your own legal adviser review the wording before you publish.
Home, About & Contact
- Home hero (optional rich subtitle): upload a Hero background image for a full-width banner, or enter Hero title and Hero subtitle. Hero subtitle (rich text override) lets you use links, lists or images in the subtitle. When a background image is set, the title and subtitle are hidden unless you turn on Show hero title & subtitle over background image.
- About: an About hero title, About hero subtitle and the About body.
- Contact: an optional Contact page body shown above the contact form.
FAQs
Set a FAQ page title and FAQ page description, then build Buyer FAQs and Seller FAQs separately. Click Add buyer category or Add seller category, give it a Category title, then use Add question to add each Question and Answer.
Live commerce look
Under On-screen video overlay (colors), set the Primary accent, Secondary (often background chips) and Text on the overlay colours used on the streaming overlay and live lot views. Choose a text colour that stays readable on both of the others. The overlay image itself is on the Logos & images tab. See Live commerce for running shows.
Icons & advanced
Both sections on this tab start collapsed. Most accounts never need them, and wrong values can break your storefront.
Icon references (expert / integration)
Five fields (Search action icon token, Watch or save action icon token, Bid action icon token, Countdown or timer icon token, Shipping or package icon token) accept icon token names for a custom icon pack. They are not a font or icon picker. Only fill them in if Hammerd support has given you token names; otherwise leave them empty.
Layout and developer options
- Static experience pack ID (optional): only for accounts that Babylon has given a pre-built brand pack identifier. Leave blank otherwise.
- Extra stylesheet URL (optional): a CSS file for rare visual tweaks. It must be an
https://address (or a site path) ending in.css, and it must be hosted by Hammerd; stylesheets on your own web server are rejected with "The stylesheet URL is not allowed." If you need one, contact Hammerd support. - Small custom CSS (optional, advanced): a few inline CSS rules. Rules containing
url(...),@import,data:,javascript:or event handlers are rejected as unsafe. Prefer colours and images above wherever possible. - Density of listing cards in grids: Compact or Comfortable (default). Controls spacing between auction cards on browse and search pages.
- Show the buyer protection note on each listing card: on by default. Turn it off only if you do not offer a buyer protection line on cards.
What is not self-service
Your storefront's overall template (its frontend skin) is not set on this page. Changes to it are arranged with Hammerd support. The same applies to brand packs and hosted stylesheets mentioned above.
Common questions
I changed a colour but the storefront looks the same. You probably saved the draft without publishing. Check the Live now and You are editing the draft lines in the banner, then Publish.
Publishing did nothing. Look for the "This branding was not published." banner and Messages from the last check. A required field is empty or a link, image address or stylesheet was rejected.
I only wanted to publish one tab. Publishing always commits the whole page, including edits on tabs you have not opened. The confirmation lists every unsaved edit it will include, so check it before you confirm.
Where do I set my business address and legal entity details? Those live on Settings → Business Settings. See Business profile and localisation.
Does my custom domain change here? No. Domains are managed on Settings → Domain Settings. See Connecting a custom domain.
